Enrico Campagnola 1911年出生於瑞士，不久就隨著父母親回到故鄉義大利。他從小就展露的對藝術方面的興趣和才華，在羅馬美院就讀期間贏得最高獎項，並且獲得義大利政府提供的獎學金。

    創作初期以雕塑為主，幾年之後，開始大量從事繪畫創作，筆觸大膽而厚重，作品有強烈的個人色彩，一生創作以人像居多，偏暗的色調一貫的出現在所有的作品中。作品獲得法國政府收藏，歐洲各地都有個展舉辦，1984年去世，享年73歲。
