Biography / 傳記：

  法國人。2月12日1849年出生於里昂，是著名的歷史畫、宗教畫、肖像畫和風俗畫家。在1865年的時候，就在巴黎的沙龍展露頭角，那時他僅僅16歲，在1867年他就在里昂的沙龍有個展展出。他受過傳統完整的美術訓練，所以對古典畫法有相當程度的掌握。目前在市場上流通作品稀少，精品難尋。享有高價的作品為裸女主題。
